Yea, its a 4 cyl. Around here they go for 6. Hell I didn't pay but a little over 6800 for my 00 sport with a/c and 1 owner. Yea the 0331 head cracked a month later , but hey now I have a crate stroker in it, so it's g2g

Thanks everybody! I'm glad to see that this is a very lively forum. And always glad to learn new information. I'm going to see the vehicle tomorrow and if I can get it for around 7000 I have a new vehicle. If they're stuck at 8.5 than ill wait for another day.

If you are serious about the TJ and want it, take a screwdriver and start poking around the frame checking for soft spots. These frames typically rust from the inside out, especially along where the transfer case skid plate bolts onto the frame.

Just check every morning on craighslist an cars.com etc. they go really fast so make sure you call right at thr moment if you want it. Good luck!

So I looked at the jeep today. It was in a flood and on a bonded title. Too much for me to take on.
