My engine warning light is on? Should I be worried?

Today is the first day that it caught my eye that it stays on the entire time I'm driving. It may have been on for awhile but idk I'm just confused and nervous! I read the manual and it basically said that ****s about to break if it starts flashing which it isn't! But why is it flashing and should I be worried? btw, I gave my jeep a new oil change with fully synthetic oil, which isn't cheap and I greased it.

Scan it and see what the code is. It could be something as simple as a loose or defective gas cap. Autozone will scan the computer for free.

Head to an Autozone before they close and they'll scan you for free. Unless you live out in the boonies, there's got to be an Autozone nearby.

just turn your key 3 times and it will tell you what codes it currently has

go from the on (not start) to the off (don't hold the button just put in the off position) 3 times and watch the display window it will tell you
