My day with the TJ, Pics included.

Finally had a couple of hours to burn out in the garage. The results were good.

Got the beast mounted. Had to take the angle grinder to the mount to fit it around my Olympic Stinger. Did the finish work with my Dremel.

Moved to the interior and customized a bit of plywood into an overhead CB radio mount.

Here's a shot of where it's mounted to the rollcage...

...and another near the windshield.

Then to the rear bumper to mount the antenna...

...and another view a step or two further out.

Did some other things on the routine mantainance. No pics of that.

Still alot to do...

It's half inch plywood. All in all, it's not metal, but I was surprised by how ridged it was once I had tighten everything up. I think it'll last.

Anyway, if it get's old and ratty, I'll chop up a new piece of lumber and do it again.

I didn't know if turning the CB a bit toward the drivers seat would be a good Idea....but I really like how that part turned out.

Uhmmm, I'm going to steal your idea!

That looks good, cheap and easy way to get the CB overhead. I also like the idea of putting the CB bracket behind the bumper...

Steal away, bro.

Bashed my head on it already. The bleeding stopped also immediately,

You'll do it too. Trust me.

Keep looking.

Wash it? I scoff at you for even suggesting I do such a thing.

And, no. It's not the D Rings. They're in the glove box. (Not that you'd know that.)

I'll make it a bit easier. You can see whats missing in the last two pics.

The winner gets a free ride to the mall.

Visor is down, and cord is wrapped around plywood.
