My build thread - Baa Baa Black Jeep

So I don't have pics up yet, hopefully tomorrow sometime the memory card reader got mixed up in my buddies bag when we came home from N.Carolina. I've been working on installing my lift kit since noon and I, with my dads help just now got the front shocks off. The rust was terrible even after a week of hitting it with pb blaster.

Heres what I have to install over the next few days:

Full Traction 3" lift kit w adj track bar
rear adj track bar
Skyjacker Hydros
4 black cragar soft 8's
33x12.50x15 Firestone Destination a/t

So I'm just barely started with this kit now I'm looking for any helpful hints people have. How important is it to disconnect the front axle and the lower control arms? Is it possible to get it together with out disconnecting them?

drop the track bar, shocks, sway bar links.
use a floor jack under the knuckle and lift one side up, letting the springs fall right out.

same method for rear, but no need to disconnect anything.

Awesome, I was thinking my logic was correct in that I didnt need to disconnect anything, but I'm kinda a novice and just wanted to make sure first. Looks like the springs are going in tomorrow, then its on to the rear!

I've had these parts in the garage since april and finally have time to install them
