Helped the UPS guy clear out his truck this morning... and loaded my new 35" MTRs into the jeep to be mounted. Ever think you could fit five 35" tires and five 15" wheels into a jeep. NO PROBLEM! When it doesn't fit, just stack it on top.

Also figured out how to remove the Trackbar with a good solid whack of a BFH. Replaced it with an adjustable trackbar, and added some quick disconnects so I can test the flex when the tires are ready! Should be able to pick them up on Monday and check my alignment one more time before I start putting miles on the 35s.

All came with the jeep... trying to switch stuff out as I go to try to get it back to stock. Also notice the licence plate mount is missing. Not sure if I want to purchase a stock one or get some other kind of mount.

Tires Are On!

Finally got my tires mounted, balances and on my Jeep. Definetly need to look into the whole brake thing ASAP. I will be leaving for another month with the Coast Guard, that always gives me time to purchase new things.

The stance is exactly what I am looking for. I think with the 1.25" body lift for the Tummy Tuck, and some fender flares (leaning towards the TNT 6" Flares) the look will be complete and I will have plenty of clearance. Now, I really need to focus on making them usable (Locker, brakes, high strength axles and swing out spare mount).

Been busy lately with fishing and work during the daylight hours. I have been doing a little research and planning though at night. I think my next big project (once I return home from my next patrol - month of December) will be the tummy tuck. I am looking at the JKS 1.25" body lift, JKS 1" motor mount lift, SAVVY High Clearance Transfer case (hopefully it will be in production), and a SAVVY high clearance tank skid. I will also have to purchase an extended driveshaft once I have the length measured out.

Next immediate purchase will be a swing out tire carrier though. Not much of a project but I need the clearance and structure to be able to carry the spare 35" tire. Think I am going with the OR-Fab that will carry 2 jerry cans, HI-Lift Jack and mount a CB antenna.

Also looking into the possible Hummer style snorkel. Now that I got the height I would hate for the intake to slow me down. I dont need anything outrageous, just a nice intake outside the engine bay that can be extended to the windshield if necessary.

After that I am going to the bumpers (BPI Fabrications) and adding a Warn 8000 winch and KC Rally lights to the front. With the 1.25" BL I should be able to mount my backup lights in a custom filler in the back getting them out of the way. And somewhere in there I am going to purchase a CB and KC windshield lights.

About that time I should be moving to somewhere I can do some actual offroading/trail riding, so I will be working on a HP30 front axle that is locked out with OX lockers. This will give me a total lift of 6" for clearance and I am hoping to change out the fenders to TNT 6" flares giving me little more room to flex. I think with the tummy tuck I will be at about 22" clearance on the transfer case and this will be my weakest link. The bumpers are at almost max for the state of FL at 26" front and 25" rear.

So the plan is there... now I just need to get the funding ... always the problem right.

OR FAB Jeep Swing-A-Way Tire/Can Carrier
This is the tire carrier I am looking at. It has good reviews and claims it can hold two jerry cans, hi-lift and a 35" tire with no rattles. I have heard of people going at the way up to 37", but I plan on staying where I am with this jeep. But it will give me the storage for fuel, water and jack as well.

Well... back in the keys from deployment and I immediately need to spend money on the Jeep (not in a good way either). Replaced the starter today because the only other way was to push real fast and pop the clutch... hard to do by yourself with 35" tires. So... $225 and half an hour later, I have a brand new starter... and $225 out of my jeep budget for the month. I guess I can hope Santa brings lots of parts!
