My 98 Sahara build/ long arm thread!

It all started because my frame went to hell. I got a "new" frame with 40k on it from South Carolina. I decided since it was essentially a bare frame, now would be a great time to upgrade to a long-arm type suspension and put in the disc braked 8.8 rear I got for $50. The build, like many others, is based on the Clayton kit.

Here is the Jeep before the "make over"
Rough Country 4 inch lift
36' TSL Sx's (33's in pic)
D35 rear with trac loc limited slip

Here is the start of my rear axle brackets

I am using Trail-Gear creeper joints

Here is my explorer 8.8

Here is the rear axle with Mad 4wd axle brackets installed and my axle truss also installed

For the axle end of the control arm, I will be using ballistic's poly joints in the DOM sleeve for now. eventually I am gonna change them to the Creeper joints in a year or so.
I'll try to get some more pics when I get back to the shop on monday. Hopefully they will be pics of the rear 4 link installed!!

Finally got the rear mocked up. Not quite finished, needs paint, and I need to finish welding the tube inserts (their just tacked for now)

Gotta order some more parts and then I'll start the front!

Whats your squat adjustments? The arms at the diff seem a little far apart.

the rear uppers are 25*'s off the bottoms, or 50* total from each other. as far as anti-squat etc, I am not sure of actual numbers, I built in alot of adjustment because I can't seem to get a 4 link calculator to function on my computer, I am just gonna play with it until I am happy with it. I have a pretty good understanding of how to adjust the arms to get more of less antisquat/ rollcenter etc.

Cool. I sold my Jeep last week so I have a pile of parts and no chassis. I need other stuff to look at to keep me from being sad. haha
