He is my Jeep I have had for about three weeks now. I have always wanted a Jeep since I was a kid. Now I got one. I got this one on a nice deal it's a 03 Sahara with 49,000 miles. I have plans for lifting, tires, bumpers, lockers. I will post changes as I make them. Here are stock pictures.

Well, I ordered my lift kit. And other things. Here is the list of parts I have ordered. Its all new parts from the cheapest places I could find on the internet. Cost almost half of what I got the Jeep for.

I will post pics when the parts start coming in and I start installing.
Anyone know of anything I might need that I am missing? Or tips for what I am about to do.

Great parts for the lift. Might consider some armor if you're going to wheel (if there's any cash left in the bank). Good looking Jeep.

Will I need extended front bump stops or brake lines with this kit. I have been trying to find an answer searching but can't. The guy at Northridge said I did not.

You'll hear people say yes and no to both questions. IMHO if you're going to disco, you need extended brake lines. Concerning the bumpstop, there's a thread on this forum specifically addressing an issue with <4" lift and JKS trackbar hitting the front diff cover, sometimes breaking the trackbar. Most of the problems are with a D44, but I'd still be cautious even with your D30. However, alot of guys endorse 2" bumpstops to prevent this. You can do a search for the subject (some of the stories are really scary) or for username "mudb8"--he's been doing alot of research on this issue.

My soft 8's with Cragar's center cap came today. They are heavy. But you can't beat the price. Also a sticker on the wheel says don't mount any tire over 30"s. I guess this is to save there a**. The wheel looks dirty but it's cardboard dust.




Should have the rest of the parts by Friday.

I got my winch mounted today. It took about 2 hours to do it. I also removed the plastic bumper end I think it looks better with out them. I did a test with the winch. I pulled the Jeep up an incline with it. Has good line speed.

I had to grind a little on the $80 winch plate I got off of eBay. If you look at the picture I had to grind on it were it comes close the sway bar mounts. But besides that it seems like a sturdy plate. I also need to hit the sway bar mounts with some black paint.

I also had to drill more holes to move the factory off road lights away from the factory tow hooks. I had to move them about 1” wasn’t hard.

I received my tires today from FedEx. I think they have an aggressive look. Heard good things about this tire hope it lives up to what I've heard about it. What do you guys think about white letters out or in ?
