Mucket Seal part number question (rubber part on door surrounds)
99 TJ sport.
Lost drivers side mucket seal for the door surround (where door surround sits on jeep tub) Found the following "for sure" part numbers for every year but a 99. Will it matter or are 96-07 pretty much the same: seal, mucket 1997 and 98: right hand - 55176524AB left hand - 55176525AB 1999??? right side - 55176722AC <--is this correct left side - 55176723AC <--is this correct 2000 right hand - 55177256AA left hand - 55177257AA

I just had to replace mine, the ones for the 99 were more expensive then the ones for 2000 on.
For the 99 original part #s are 55176524AB & 55176525AB this is from the 99 Parts catalog. When I went to the dealer we found they had been superseeded by: 55177256-AB 55177257-AB Sorry, looking at my invoice I can not tell which is left and which is right. Note, the ones for 2000 + were About $10 each, the 99's were $36 each ![]() Jeff

The odd number is the left side, even is right side.

I just lost a musket seal or had it stolen and it sucks having to pay that much for another one. They come off way to easy, I may have knocked it off, but I won't be buying another one.
So now when I remove the surrounds I take them off and use the screw to attach it to the surround. I put the screw through the hole in the seal and screw it into the nut from the other side. |
