mrblaine's knuckle kit

i have been chasing down a braking noise for some time now. a slight grinding right before coming to a stop. had some time tonite to take it to a buddy's shop and stop the madness! well, rotors were fine. pads had some cracks. passenger side knuckle stripped. both bolts. mrblaines knuckle saver kit to the rescue! installed very easy. also put new pads on. sanded rotors. on the short drive home, seemed very quiet. want to let it sit overnite for the loc-tite to do it's thing. this kit is a blessing! even if you don't think you will need it, order one. this way you will be ready if your knuckle's strip.

Thank you for the kind words. It's nice to see folks use something that solves a problem.

I need to get to work on the Nutsert repair kits for the frame crossmembers so that will save folks some money instead of paying dealer prices for the nutserts.

Have not needed your kit yet but have one in my garage just in case! When will this nutsert kit be done? I have not needed it yet but I feel like I am always dropping the skid plates so I should have a kit or two handy, let me know when I can pick some up.

The link has reappeared in my above post. Not sure how I got it to vanish in the first place.

That was my thread!

Front brakes have been rock solid since doing that mod.

Now if I could just figure out the pulsating noise from my rear drums, I'd be happy.

Dont mean to bring up a dead thread from 4 years ago, but I have this issue (my bolts broke off, both of them) and I really dont want to replace to knuckle... I'm thinking about drilling out the holes and re-threading them.... sound like a good idea?

Nevermind, I saw and read the right up. I'm going to have to drill them out with the kit.
