Moving the back seat back 6"or so

I have a 04 Solar Yellow sport.Trying to find out if this is possible. We have two kids that ride in there carseats that need the leg room . Also That storage space is so small it won't be missed either. Any Ideas?

Not necessarily a good idea. Realize that puts them closer to the back window -- in a vehicle with no trunk. So if you get rear-ended, you lose what little safety margin you have back there. May even put their heads slightly past the protection of the roll bar.

My suggestion would be to trade in the 2004 Sport on a 2004.5 Wrangler Unlimited which is 15 inches longer. This will have both more legroom in the rear seat and usable storage space. They are taking orders for Unlimited's now.

I know this will ding your pocketbook, but there is no safe way to move the seat back - the seat belt and shoulder belt anchor points are designed into the tub and rollbar.
