Safari Door Mirrors (hinge mount) - They vibrate so bad they are unusable.

I switched to mirror movers and am much happier. Sure, the passenger mirror is unusable with the doors on but I try to keep the doors off most of the time.

worst mod - driving with a rear detroit on 37's. talk about a squirly ride.

2nd worst= waiting for so long to get a trailer to tow it on.

3rd air filter in cowl area mod-- good mod for summer-- to noisy when i had the hard top on. pain in the butt to clean, but great for water deflection. did put on the k&N, and then put on a outerwear pre filter-- never have had a problem with the filter getting to dirty or sucking water.

4th not sure about this one, got alot of experiance during the process of taking many years and tons of $$$ to slowly build instead of just going for what I Exactly wanted.

1. KC long range driving lights mounted on the windshield. I never used them and I messed up the relay when I installed my new amp and sub. Now they don't even work.
2. Locking gas cap, it never sealed properly.
3.Crappy cheap Mile Marker winch plate. It mounts the roller fairlead too low, I should have gone with a Warn or competition style mount.
4. 3 inch TeraFlex lift, I should have put on a complete 4 inch or 4.5 inch lift in the begining.
5. 31 inch BFG MTs, I have had them for 4 years waiting for them to wear out so I can get bigger tires. I'm going to 35s now (do or die).

I really dont see how this is a mod to avoid. You never used them.. and you messed them up... I would understand if they came to you crapped out and you had bad Customer Service. If they didnt work or light things up correctly then.. well...

Details Details Details!

Why dont you sell them. Lots of guys on here would snatch up the 31" BFG's for a quick stage up.

I love the way this skid mounts.... It's not so bad if you add 1/4" steel to it.
Mine is now 3/8" thick. I laugh at the rocks...LOL

I'm sorry about my post, I thought this was just for mods we regretted not necessarily bad mods. I just regret doing those mods and would undo them if I could. My 31 inch BFG MTs are wearing out and I don't think anyone would pay me much for them, one has a plug and one has a nail in it and they are all cupped.

Dont worry about it. And that stinks about those tires.

The technical advice you get from me here is worth exactly what you paid me for it. Warranty issues will be reimbursed at double what you paid me for the advice.

Worst mod I purchased... 3" body lift. It raised my center of gravity to where I feel my Jeep want to roll more when on a good angle. it was a quick & cheap way for me to sit it on 34's. now less than a year later.... I wish I had done things different. gotta spend more money to get it the way I want. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfuction or uninstall themselves at any time.

And whenever you put the doors back on then take them off you have to reinstall the mirror and adjust them. I also plan on getting some mirror movers.

As soon as you get a flat or run with the tires aired down they will get in between the tire and beadlock casing, and even inside of the casing around the tube causing a severe out of balance condition that can only be described a a severe PITA!
