I honestly dont' know why these cheap shocks are all so stiff, there is no advantage to stiff shocks at all. You think if they make them crappy they would've made them too soft

I actually want to beat the designer of these over the head with the shock!
X2 I don't know if I will be able to wait till next spring for my Full Traction lift and OME shocks.

I couldn't, and have ordered OME shocks. They have arrived and are awaiting install.

jeepin Outfitters, great price. Got 5% off for being a JF member, and free shipping Total came out to $285USD .... i don't think that can be beat.

  • Omix-Ada extended flares (pocket style)
They break if they even look at a tree or a rock. I went back to stock flares held on with zip-ties.
  • Non-tire carrier rear bumper. I ended up having the swing out tire carrier welded to my aftermarket bumper
  • front tube bumper on my YJ. (for sale!)
  • Fire extinguisher..... It was stolen the first night I mounted it to the roll bars

This list is depressing me. I can't believe how much $ I've thrown down the drain.

Neoprene Seat Covers, They soak up water like a sponge. I thought they were supposed to be waterproof. Should have gone with the Bestop Vinyls.

Great Thread

Oh good. At least I don't have the first generation arms. [/SARCASM]

Guess I better think twice before wheeling anything too hard, and it sounds like I'll need to perform frequent visual inspections of the control arm mounts.

Thanks for the heads up!

pro comp arms are the same way,

and jerry i have 4" pro comp springs and and front track bar, havent had any issues with them, but i agree the rest sucks,

i forgot i blew my 4cyl and put a new 4cyl in, for what i paid i could have done a V8 with trans and t/c, although had i done that my comment now would be putting a V8 in front of a D35

clips

I put those silly little clips on the door plungers to keep my interior lights off when I have the doors removed. One night, it started getting cloudy so I ran out and threw the doors back on, but didnt take the clip off the driver side.

Now I cant even use my clips anymore. Stupid mistake. Use those clips with caution.

LOL ... neoprene is waterproof! i guess you should've researched into the fact that neoprene also absorbs a bit of water as well. (ever wear neoprene fishing waders? wet on outside, dry on inside)

horrible material for seat covers, and the feel of it gives me goosebumps alone ..

Before I knew any better, I bought 15x8 black steel rims with 4.75 inch back spacing. Now that I think about it, it might not be enough back spacing for wider tires, like 33x12.5x15 (but don't hold me to it).

So for now when I go to 33's I will have to go for the pizza cutter style 33x10.5x15. Or buy wheel spacers or new rims.

1. Air intake system (just not worth it)

2. throttle body spacer (absolute garbage)

3. bored out throttle body (may come in handy for future stroker, but worthless on 4.0L. Also makes ANNOYING *** whistle sound sometimes!)

4. High flow cat converter (not sure, but don't think this did crap for performance)

I'm not sure I'd say I "regret" this - but if I had it to do over again I'd probably do it differently. I installed a Tuffy overhead console for my head unit. In retrospect, I think I would have preferred the regular Tuffy console for stereo & subwoofer.

The overhead unit is "ok", but there are things I don't like about it (creaks/squeaks, clunky to open/close, puts stereo right up on display, and it partially blocks the "open top" feel when the soft top is down. On the other hand, it did provide a nice place to put the satellite receiver for the head unit .
