Worst mods:

AEM Brute Force Intake (removed and sold)

Hypertech Power Programmer III (removed and sold)

Bestop Soft Top (fits poorly, and the rear window "bar" at the bottom always comes unhooked from the body mounts)

Warn rear bumper with tire carrier - The "W" cutouts on the bumper are rust magnets, latch design is CRAPPY, no shackle mounts, and even when you grease the hinge it is a PITA to close.

My throttle body spacer increased my gas mileage about 30% (I'm up to 490 miles on a tank of gas)(mine is the anodized blue one, the red ones are crap and don't do anything for performance) ...my KN airfilter got me a certificate from the State of California that I'd not have to have an emissions test for 12 years, and my TR Carbon Fiber antenna ball made me popular with hawt chicks!!!

I thought saving some money when I bought my (first) winch was good idea.

That's right kids, that is the famous Duke winch, made by the Chi Zong company of Taiwan!!

To be fair I got many recoveries out of that, but it was slooooooooow and the brake went out after like my 3rd one.

[QUOTE=Ludedude;3912099]8 years later and I'm still paying for the wife mod 1.0 extraction. Girlfriend mod 2.0 is much more user friendly [/QUOTE

Agreed. Girlfriend mod is more user friendly. That is until you start getting those annoying "Must upgrade to wife mod" pop-ups. Tis a vicious circle. Is there an "occasional live-in maid mod"?

as said above

bought my jeep w/ a d35 3.07 gears before I knew anything about jeeps

bought tube steps to avoid rock rash, removed surface rust and painted 3 coats on, then sold them w/o putting them on

bought stock steps, tried to put the nut-certs in and said the heck w/ that, sold them

mirror movers- cant see a thing

bought aluminum shifter knob because dogs ate my old one, just ordered a stock shifter knob and throwing away the aluminum knob

had some nice 31" tires on aluminum rims but traded for stock 5 star rims, now rim clear coating is coming off

now have the girlfriend mod, and apparently our bathrooms take presidency over a lift and new tires and rhino line and......

Worst mod I paid for was the rugged ridge front floor mats, they work fine but I am going to just get rid of em and herculine the tub anyway. For about the same price I can herculine the entire tub.

i'll throw in here, yet again, neoprene covers. Cold in the winter and hot in the summer since they don't ventilate well.

Luckily, thus far, that's been it. That was my first and only purchase I made for my jeep before JF. Thank god I found this forum!

Saves alot of time and money...$$$

ignorance isn't bliss when it comes to jeep modding.
