If you look at the pictures Firekite posted, you'll notice that it's not just the flare that the MetalCloak replaces, but the entire fender... So the inner fender won't be a problem. In other words, this doesn't look like a bolt on upgrade.

You can see in this side diagram (looking down axle) vs. a typical tube fender the clearance we gain both at the top and back.

The extra opening wouldn't be a bad thing. I will definately look into them after I get my tires. Thanks.

11 gauge T304 Stainless Steel with a single direction surface ground finish. It is an access panel for ease of assembly.

I checked out the site, and I'll be getting a set of these without the flare.

Well Mattsonian, I must say I think I am back to being a fan. You came through with the diagrams, and the pictures really did them justice. Aluminum would be great, and although I still feel that the price is a bit high, I could see myself running them.

Your comments are correct about the inner fender well being replaced entirely. However this is a true bolt on system. You completely unbolt your stock fender with no damage at all (stock fenders can even be resold). Then you bolt on the system where the stock fenders were removed using the stock fastener hardware.

I have Metalcloak fenders on my TJ with no lift and 35 inch tires and they do not rub at all. I have a few critiques of the fenders but would certainly buy again.

Yes, the Teal-J, now known as the Teal Brute, has our fenders. You can see it on the cover of the July issue of Four Wheeler.

Thanks. Just to clarify I have no suspension lift. I do have a 1inch body lift. But that's it.
