Thanks.
if you go to google check out on their website the "WhatWind" as they call it is two peices and the "ShadeTop" is a third separate peice and from what i understand it is all included in the 59.99

Not anymore, they took that and made it into one large kennel tarp that you use in "ShadeTop" mode which means you bungee it to the entire top or "WhatWind" mode where you fold the back part of the tarp to cover behind the seats. I have never gotten an answer to how you get in the back seat when you use it in "WhatWind" mode so I'm assuming you lose the backseat area, maybe is should be renamed to "WhatSeat"

Can anyone tell us with any certainty (sp?) that the SW3 (3 piece) is going to be offered/tested & any idea of when they will be available. I, like many others, are patiently (well impatiently) waiting to spend my $$$ on this product - but would love to be able to do so while it's still SUMMER.
I should be receiving an SW3 prototype top for testing (was told last week). As soon as I do, I'll let you guys know what I think and post up some pics of it.

I have a lot of different ideas/improvements that I think could be made and a lot of them go along the lines of what you guys have said.

Right now, sales will be a given. It's all up to spider and what they want to do and if they want to make the improvements to make this product great. Fall is just around the corner though...

I fabricated up my own a couple weeks ago and also made panels for the rear sides to keep the wind down. works very well. I cut mine to run the full length down to the top of the rear seat with a grommet in the 90 corner in the rear.
I was going to make a panel for behind the seats, but with two little girls getting in and out of the passenger side that would have been a PIA all the time.
A world of difference in the amount of wind reduction though with the doors on and it keeps a little extra sun off the girls, no need for tons of sunscreen. If someone has an email address I can send a couple pics to post them for all to see.
I would like to see spiderweb build these with nylon straps and buckles. The top can be folded back in the rear to create a shelf and get the mesh out of the way to see better with the shaded windows in the top or the hardtop on. I have also brought it down behind the roll bar to reduce front seat wind with the doors off, still get a bit of air down low though. With the side panels, I just roll them up and bungee them in place.

Yes, we all want to see it.

I heard blogger.com lets you post pictures, then you can link to them from here. Blogger.com is owned by Google.

I put on my Spider Web today and it works great. It was a hot humid day here, and on days like that, the sun almost stings, so it does it's job. It's quiet on the road and super easy to install. I can also leave it on under my hardtop (I don't have a soft-top as of yet).

ok so I wanna buy one of these, but I am a little confused about what I'm going to get if I order one. I've gone back and forth and this is what I'm looking for...

But I'm not entirely confident that is what I'll recieve... Is this the current product being offered? When I go through Google checkout I'm not saying any options...

Just trying to save myself some headache...

Yes, that is the one that I received and just put on. I ordered it here:
http://www.allthingsjeep.com/spiderweb-shadetop.html

AllThingsJeep had it shipped the next day.

No way I read all 28 pages, but here's something I have seen yet in the thread. I have a Rockhard cage and the rear cross bar. I'm on the fence with this one still, deciding between this or a full safari top. I was wanting to see how it fit with that rear bar. Trying to visualize it, I see it might follow the factory roll bar lines very nicely instead of taking that sharp turn down that a lot people seem to hate, me included. If anyone has one with a rear bar, I'd like to see it. Anyone test one with this configuration?

FWIW, I still like the one pictured on page 2 of the thread. I'd have bought it already if I could.

Here are the custom designs that CaseyJames101 fabricated himself. Looks pretty good to me.

What's with all the extra grommets? It makes me question how custom these are.

I agree it looks good. I know from experience that those wrinkles look much worse on camera than in person. I like how the top fits closer to the roll bars and goes further down towards the tailgate.

The SpiderWeb version doesn't seem to need as many straps as that custom version needs. Plus, I don't think you need to cover the rear sides. Personally I don't want everything covered, or I might as well put the top back on.

i bet the kids that sit in those car seats (or are they jeep seats now?) like the added shade.
