I've been watching this thread for a few days now and almost bought one of these tops until I heard about the new version coming out....

I think this prototype looks GREAT. I really like the seperate front and rear sections. I'll get one of these, and put on the front section and "stow" the rear section for when I have passengers in the back-seat. (rarely)

When can we buy one????

Keep in mind that if he shortens up that back panel as you pictured, it's going to let more wind through and negate it's function as a wind blocker.

It's low enough that it wouldn't matter at the line I drew. However, if you want it longer, make it longer. There's no reason for the fabric to curve like it does. Keep it straight and add another grommet on each side further down. Tieing it into the backseat bracket is impractical and unnecessary.

x2. But it was great the way the first one followed the roll bar around. The shade for the rear without losing headroom was awsome.

So is $4.69 for a gallon of regular unleaded yet we drive one of the least efficient cars that are under 13' long. So we are used to over paying. I can't wait to order mine, just waiting for them to be available.

That's not bad to me, especially since this is USA made as far as I know, and costs for that is 3x the asking price of china. If it works and is flexbile, $60 isn't too big of an investment.
