Give them some time. The SW3 looks custom and that takes time. I am glad they didn't rush and throw out some crap or pre-made product..

If it falls through I will certainly look into it.

That said, as Yeti above me stated, custom work does take time, especially if you are trying to work with a factory to put everything together and produce a consistent, yet specific product. If you rush it through production, you may end up with a product that isn't exactly what you intended, or quality issues, missing details, etc.

Spider, if you're reading this, just popping in here and posting up something to let us know you're still monitoring everything would be nice, even if you have no specific updates yet.

Thanks guys! Please Trust me we have not forgotten about the SW3, We are still testing the prototype to make sure it will be a product we can stand behind. We need to make sure that it will function well, look great and last a long time for our customers. This is NOT easy and the most important thing to me is that the people who buy our ShadeTops are thrilled with the product. The last thing we want to do is rush to release something that will not continue to receive AMAZING eBay feed back from customers like this:

I'm waiting on that SW3 so I can spend some more money.

I'm looking forward to the final results!

Just ordered one... for the price, why not? I'm really only interested in the bikini portion of the top so hopefully it's still the piece design. I don't like the wrap around method of making the full top a bikini top.

Yeah, just got done cancelling it. Too bad. I really liked the idea of the 3 piece as I was only going to use the bikini portion. Oh well.

Received this today when I asked when they thought the generation 3 would be available.

We are still testing the new design for usability and durability. The release date is still up in the air.

If you only want the bikini portion, you can fold the top over the roll bar and back towards the seats. This provides a nice area to put hats, etc.. I personally wish I got the SW1, but the SW2 has been nice and allows many configurations with a little creativity.

Yeah, I saw the pictures of the one where they folded it around the sound bar and thought it looked like crap, not at all what I'm looking for so eh... I'll pass for the time being. Seems like a great top and a good little company but they should REALLY strive to give the customer what they want. If a 3 piece set cost more then so be it but whatever...
