mesh windjammer?
last year when i bought my bikini top i saw a product that was similar to a windjammer but it was mesh and it wrapped up and over the roll bar like a bikini top. it claimed to reduce noise and wind and i was looking for it and cant find it anywhere now. i think it was called spider something, but i cant find it. does anyone know what im talking about or where i could find one?

That's AWESOME! Just ordered one! Two things I like better about that over the VDP one - first, you don't have to use the no-drill header bar. Second, you can leave this on under your hardtop. So, now when I take off the hardtop the bikini top is already on! Thanks for the link GADave! Looks like I'll be selling my VDP soon!

I am considering getting one of those myself! I just need to figure out how I will secure it. I don't want to ziptie it on as I like the completely open ride sometimes.

No problem. I've thought about ordering one myself but I was a little leary of the zip-tie attachment possibly tearing up my rollbar padding. I like the looks & functionality of it though and zip-ties are cheap so it seems like it should be pretty easy to take off if you really want to. So if ya don't mind, let me know how you like it!

They attach with multiple removable hooks similar to standard bungi hooks.

I got one last spring and it's great, no flapping,
or any noise. Only problem is it's not H2O proof.

Do a search for Raingler. They make some darn fine net systems for jeeps.

Just spoke to Chris at PVB regarding the Spiderweb top. If the product is as good as the customer service then THIS is the product to have. Mine should be here in a day or so.
I've used bikini tops, island tops, and the mesh tops from all sorts of other manufacturers. No matter which one you use it's always a pain having to install the no-drill header. Then, if you need to put your top up quickly because of a sudden rain (like here in Florida) then you have to deal with that blasted no-drill header again. NOT with the Spiderweb design. It can stay on underneath whatever top you're running with. I like it because it looks like you can also stuff things between it and the hard or soft top. So, in the winter, I could put a nice slice of rubber insulating mat between it and the hardtop for added noise and heat insulation. Like I said - mine will be here soon - will report back to ya'll how it goes. Here's the link again and a couple of pics: http://www.pvbinc.com/spiderweb/ ![]() Last edited by maddiver; 04-24-2008 at 08:41 AM.. |

I'd be interested in hearing how it feels riding with this compared to completely open air? I don't want to lose the open air feeling, but I'd like to lose the getting sunburned part.

What's the soundbar in the jeep from the pics? It's like a speaker in the center and tweeters. Looks sweet.
