MARCH TJ of THE MONTH!! VOTE NOW!! THE CONTEST HAS STARTED!!

Welcome all to the MARCH TJ of The Month contest.

For those that need a recap of the rules: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/tj-month-rules-regulations-890645/

Last month was weird, i'll just leave it at that

i was hoping this month would start out with a bang, im not sure if its because warm weather has finally hit and people arnt near their computers or if its because people are out spending their tax returns - but this month has been SLLLOOOOOOOOW. im pretty sure the submission thread dropped off the face of the planet a few times - but found its way back.

we have a fantastic group of Jeeps and owners here this month, and the top 10 was picked almost unanimously by the judges. lets make this month go out with a bang!

Story:
*
I am just returning to the jeep world after a 10+ year hiatus with 4wd atv's. After selling them I was on my way to purchasing another motorcycle since I had not had one since getting into atv’s and was really missing it.* Right before pulling the trigger on a bike I had picked out I thought long and hard and realized that while I would love to be back on a bike I could not enjoy this experience with my 8 year old daughter.* I wanted to share this with her, teaching her mechanical skills as well as a love and respect for the outdoors and seeing all the places only a 4wd can take you.** I grew up as a kid wrenching on FJ40's and we had several of them in the family and still do. While I will always love the FJ40's I decided to try the Jeep brand for the first time this go round and am very happy I did. I have rented them several times on vacations and always loved driving them. So my search began.

I always loved the aftermarket following with the Jeep brand and the enormous amount of products available for them so I set out to find my ride.* To me, the TJ model offered everything I was looking for in a trail rig, creature comforts and an extremely capable platform.* After months of looking I finally worked a deal on my Lil' Mule. It seemed like a pretty solid build and culmination of products that would set me in the direction I wanted to head with little waste in things I would not have done.* I always try to look at everything I do and determine if there is something I would do different or if I think there is a better way to engineer it.* I have never been able to leave anything I have owned alone so the build began.* All work, fabrication, welding, painting and design on this build is done by me or with help from a friend.* I have always been the type that if I did not know how to do something, I learned.
*
My goal is to build a modest trail rig that will look good and is capable of handling some tough terrain yet still be able to drive around town enjoying the beautiful days we tend to get year round in the south or put it on the highway and go for a weekend drive.* I have always wanted to wheel in Moab and hope to have the build far enough along to head out there this spring.
*
*
Thanks again for considering me.

Story:
Not much of a story, I purchased my Jeep back in 2003 and all it had was the suspension lift, SYE, tire carrier and 33" BFG All Terrain tires.*Over the years this has been built to compliment my driving style (rock crawling)*and budget (not much money).* I sold my very first car a 1977 Camaro to fund some of the build. This allowed the ARB and the HD steering along with some armor. The rest was from pinching my pennies and begging the wife.
*
I have gone to Moab for the past 4 years and have realized where my rig was limited and tried to build it in a reasonable way. Most of the mods have been to strengthen or protect. The TnT armor and the currie hd steering have*been worth its weight in gold. I have been fortunate enough that I have not had very much carnage (knock on wood). In 2008 I was wheeling the Green Day trail out in Moab and ended up damaging the carrier bearing in the stock LP D30.*After much debate*I decided to swap in a HP D30 out of a '94 Cherokee.
*
The next mod in line was either a winch or a cage. In*'09 I was heading*back out to Moab this time alone so I decided I needed a winch over a cage.* After flopping on Hells Gate and scaring the crap out of me*I purchased the OR Fab sport cage for more security. As my dad always told me,*hindsight is 20/20.
*
Thank you for your consideration.

In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.
When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.

I bought this Jeep to replace a 97 Saturn SL2 that I had been driving for the past 5 years (I am 6'4 300lbs and played college football, that car was tiny) I bought this Jeep in July of 2008 and the fun hasn't let up. I have spent more hours playing with and working on this thing than I care to admit. It is my DD and has taken me on a 1500 mile offroad adventure from Ohio to North Carolina and back stopping to wheel in Swiss, WV; Windrock, TN; Uwharrie National Forest, NC; and Harlan County, KY. My future plans will hopefully take me to Colorado and Moab this summer.

Basically the jeep was a spur of the moment buy.* in June of 2005 my father had passed away, the plan was to take his truck and make it into a show truck, well after working in the truck and doing a few shows it became a chore to keep it clean then sit at the shows for 9 hours to just win a plastic trophy.* then one day i stubled across jeepforum.com, started to read the forums and decided life was to short to do something i wasnt happy in doing.* so 2 weeks after i found this site i bought my first jeep.* basic wrangler X stripped down.* i wanted something i could build and build strong.* its been on going, and Oct. 4th will be the 4 year anniversary that i bough the jeep.* future upgrades include rubi 241 TC, beadlocks again(wish i had never sold them).* on to the pics, thanks for considering me for ROTM

Neweaver gets my vote thus month. But if it weren't him, it would be 2005x. Newracer has earned a win several times, he keeps getting robbed. Great entries this month!

Best of luck to the top 10, I'm stoked to be in it this month! Although my vote did go to someone else's Jeep.
