Nice job! You gotta get us some pics of them installed. Next time though you may want to get a let's say more attractive model to show them. J/K really love to see the installed. Already ordered my materials to make mine. Thanks for the idea.

LOL Thats a DAMN fine model.

I'll be finishing them up, hopefully, tonight. I've been kind of lazy the last few days. Its just a pain sometimes because I dont get home from work until 6:30 and its almost dark by then. Days are getting longer though

Wow you're doing a great job. Especially for someone who really hasn't sewn anything before! I sew pretty well, since we go to our local Renaissance Festival a lot, so I make my own outfits instead of paying a fortune for them.

I was going to get these nets when I first got my dog, so she wouldn't jump out. I couldn't afford it though and didn't really even think to make one, so I got this instead:

It was $9.99 at Petsmart and works like a charm.

Still a really good idea anyways. I know someone who is a paramedic and has said how often they have seen dead pets or had to put one down on the side of the road because they went flying in an accident.

I was thinking about one of those and decided on the nets due to my dogs being so big. If they chew down one of the straps, there is still a lot left to hold them in

Nice to see someone else from Maryland BTW.

Yeah I think with more than 1 dog the net is a better option anyway - especially with big dogs. I also like how the nets look. I've always had big dogs, but when our last one passed away, I opted for a smaller one this time around just because of the cleanup and the size of my house. I love all dogs though.

And yes!! Yay for MD! What area are you in? I'm NEAR (adimantly not IN) Annapolis.

I'm in College Park. Right near the University. I swear, these students are going to be the end of me LOL Whats so bad about Annapolis?

I understand. We have a early 70's small ranch style house. It's big enough for us, but we need to get rid of some STUFF. I'm sure you understand how it goes.

Oh yeah I used to have friends that lived around there back in the day. It's a nice area though where you live. Then again, I never had to deal with it on a daily basis so I'm sure it can get annoying.

Annapolis is just overpopulated. It's a historical town and the roadways are not set up for the volume of traffic and development. Not to mention, many of the inhabitants are rich, very snotty, and seem to think that their agenda is the only one that matters in this world.

I saw those but they just looked cheap and ill fitting to me. Notice how high off the tub they are? I couldnt use them because my dogs would easily squirm under them.

i guess we shall see. i like yours a lot more, but don't have the time to make them.

i think you can adjust them to be lower on the tub.

for $50 i think it's worth it to check them out.
