Makeshift lower control arms

If you've ever been to a rural king or similar store there are adjustable arms with heim joints on the ends and are for tractors and whatnot. Andbody know if these would work as control arms? I don't know the technical name for them but they looked pretty tough.

Are you referring to the "arms" used for the implements run by the PTO off the back of a tractor?

The joints on those are not real precision items and I think they would wear real quick and get noisy. You are talking about the center links for a 3 point hitch also called the 3rd link. The center hole on the those are 1" also. Some smaller tractors have a 3/4" bore. They are basically a turnbuckle with joints on the ends. The turnbuckle area would be real rattle prone as well.

Thanks for the replies, ya I had been discussing it with a buddy and we thought there may be a slight chance it would work but I just had that feeling it wouldn't. But hey it would have been cheap adjustable arm for people on a budget
