Thanks man. The plan is to hopefully wheel this thing next year where you just did. That was one hell of a trip you had.

Just got it all back together and will be putting the driveshaft back in this evening. I will also throw up some pics of this Tom Woods driveshaft apart so you can see the inner workings of the CV. We have a night ride coming up this weekend so I can try it all out then.

First night ride also so I have been researching all my nav lighting options. I was set on finding a quality LED solution as I wanted low power draw and low heat. LED is the logical choice for this but finding one that is bright enough severely decreases the options. I finally settled on a set of these after reading numerous great reviews for this purpose and seeing some quality pictures showcasing the output of these puppies....

They are the Vision X Tantrum LED light kit. I will do a writeup on this install and post some pics from the trail ride showing them in action. Here's to hoping these light up my night....

hey man let me know about these rock crawling lights. i wanna get some but i wanna see some pics of them

thanks

Don't know if this helps. The picture is not the best and I have not had a chance to adjust them to their permanent mounting position so I get the best light dispersion. I ended up missing the last night run where I was going to tweak the placement of these lights before a more permanent mounting solution.

They are bright and give good light and with little power draw even adding more is no problem especially since you can buy the pods individually. Right now I have them mounted with magnets so I can move them around and see what the best position is. Then I will probably drill and tap the frame where I want to mount them but with the ability to turn them and to adjust the angle so I can direct the light differently if needed. This is unless the magnets will do the job with no issues. I am just concerned that they may move around a bit when doing some more serious wheeling. So far they have stayed put for over a month with a good bit of road use so the magnet option may end up working after all and that will allow for complete movement of the lighting within range of the wire flexibility. This would be good if it works also since I could move them around under body if I am down there working on something. We will see, still in the R&D stage.....

Oh, also. Just ordered a Viking Fastback soft top so I can take it on some longer trips and not worry about potential weather and we have a couple of rides coming up in the winter that will be rather chilly without one.

Ordered a set of Crusher Corners last week, hopefully they will also be in next week and ordered a rear bumper tire carrier yesterday that should be here in a couple weeks. Got a bit of work ahead of me, can't wait.

Looking good. Sorry you didn't make the run. It was really muddy, though. Lot of strapping and winching going on.

BTW, have a great Thanksgiving and hope to see you for the X-mas party and run on the 5th.

I know what you mean, and thanks. Everytime I used to see you post with your old avatar of your jeep in the driveway I had to do a double take.

After what I'm seeing on your build these days though, I don't think I'll be confusing them any more.

Say when.

I'm always ready.

Yea, I try not to think about how much time I have spent on, in and under this thing but I love the build part. And, your rig is one of the reasons I even got back into the jeep thing.

Thanks man.
