ROFLMFA Thats so true. About 9 guys in my platoon alone went out and bought harleys with their deployment money.

And yes, I guess us scouts are always tinkering with things. You should have seen my truck in Iraq. I bought my own KC daylighters and installed them myself. We also had a hood scoop, and quite a few other things done to it.

OK, I really am going to work this time. lol

You have to prove to me you know how to drive YOUR jeep before Ill let you drive mine little payne. And I better have the keys to your jeep and full access to your bank account before the keys touch your hands lol.

And Ill still smoke you with my jeep, viper motor or not. Ive seen you drive manual, and its not pretty.

Ok, updates!

So, the motor mounts have been fabbed up and welded in. Also, the clutch from centerforce has been installed. Motor would have been dropped in already, but the damn AC compressor is in the way. We talked about it, and they told me they can notch the frame, but Im not sure if I want to or not. It would be nice to have AC, but I dont think I really need it, or want it. I went without it this long, seeing as it didnt work on mine, and I try to have the doors/top off as much as possible anyway. They took the compressor off, and are going to drop it in, and see how much they would have to notch it.

So without further ado, some pics to keep you going.

So, what do you guys think about the AC issue. TXjeepTJ told me he had to notch his frame, but it tottaly slipped my mind. So I guess this is one of those "unexpected issues" people were wondering about.

Oh and Dad.... OUCH, thanks for calling me out like that on the internet. THANKS MOM LOVE YOU too little too late?

I would notch the frame. Keep the AC, rather have it and not use it than not have it and wish you did

If they notch the frame correctly then it wouldnt lose any structural strength. But im in the boat of converting mine over to OBA and ditching the AC...

damn centerforce clutch, niicceee($$$$$$) will they charge you extra if you tell them to notch the frame?

i dont use the ac, but i know one day i will use it lol
it didnt really weaken the frame, cut the piece out, put ribs on the inside of frame for extra reinforcement and flip the cut piece and weld it back in (facing inward)

being a shop they should be able to do this better(i hope lol)

If they notch it and box it properly it should be fine.

Can you tell us how much needs to be notched?
