You... YOU STOLE MY IDEA

i am obscenely jealous.. not just by the fact that you're using the idea what i had so skillfully and carefully developed while sitting on the toilet, but you have the money to do it.

even with the 60's id be happy! only now its switched from a LS2 to a 5.7 Hemi.... and even then i'll never be able to do it good luck with your swap! keep this thread updated!

Nice drivetrain! I'd love to shove an LS2 in my rig.

I have to ask though, did you order the axles or did you order them thru a shop? The reason I ask is that you mentioned they are ProRock 60s... but the axles in your pictures look like the Dynatrac Trail series, not ProRocks. The ProRock has a custom center section that's shaved for clearance, and they're a bit more expensive as a result.

Just want to make sure you're getting what you paid for... I'd hate to a see a shop charge you for ProRocks and install a lower cost axle instead.

I opened this up at work and the NMCI Computer Nazis wont allow us to access hosting websites! So , now I cant wait to get home to see the pictures!

You have to know that I'm as excited as you are to see this all come to a completed project and you to hit the trail!

Well done on researching, organizing and financing this project!

Keep all of us up to date (SEND LOTS OF PICTURES) and let me know if you need me to find any Corvette parts that you may need to support the engine install. Ill have LS2 tuning and scanning software soon!

Keep up the awsome work and thank you for serving our country!

Glad to hear you guys are almost as excited as I am to see this done. I will definitely be updating as much as possible with pics. The only problems I have, are that I dont know for certain when they will be doing what exactly, and Im at work most of the day as it is. Im going over there today after work though, so hopefully I can get some shots of the engine actually sitting in there.

Of course, once its done I will be uploading tons of videos as well. You can bet there is going to be burning rubber, whole shots, climbing, mudding, anything I feel like doing. Im not going to baby this thing, I built it to thrash and thats what Im going to do with it.

And to REDTJ, yes, this is an all around vehicle. No specific purpose, other than to do whatever I feel like at the moment. And it will be more than competent in whatever I throw it in.

what are the plans for gauges and other electronic controls and such? i am in the research stage of a V8 swap for my TJ and am curious of the best way to integrate the GM brain with the Jeep brain...or is it best just to skip the jeep stuff and go custom.

it's looking great so far! please continue with the positive notes on the companies you are dealing with through this. picking a company to work with is sometimes as hard as picking the merchandise itself.

also, would it be too much to ask for a running log of parts you are having to buy (and where they are from) and those that have to be custom fabbed.
