"Do you seriously have an airplane next to your Jeep?"

I read through the entire post, not because I have some experience to offer here, but because of the plane next to the Jeep. When I build my new shop, I will be building it that big. If I can't pull a plane, a Jeep and a boat side by side through it, it ain't big enough... :-)

lol, thanks. Sorry I haven't updated much. I've been tracking down a few parts. I made a plate to mount the -8 and -6 bulkheads on that mounts on top of the stock fuel sending unit(on top of the Fuel tank). I tried using sealant but just didn't feel comfortable with that holding up, so I ordered a sheet of 1/16 Abuna N gasket material, also tracked down a plug for the old oil level sensor hole in the oil pan and bought some aluminum spacers to finish mounting the intercooler and radiator. I'm also trying to switch to a newer alternator that is self exciting so when it turns , it charges. As of right now it's looking for a external resistance to activate its charging and I want to switch it to a 1 wire setup. I thought about trying to switch to a corvette style alt and power steering setup to get the alt. up high but I wont be doing any river crossing so it should be fine for now.

I'm in my shop pretty much every weekend, just let me know.

oil pan cleaned and tapped for -4 feed and -10 return along with removed oil level sensor. Next I cleaned the alt bracket, installed a new alt. and converted it to be self exciting. So now when it spins it charges unlike the stock camaro setup.

Looks awesome! Gotta love the LS1, awesome freakin' engine!

Just curious, what oil pan is that and what do the baffles look like? LS1s are famous for oil starvation in fast corners (in cars) when all the oil is sent to one side of the pan... so I worry a little on the trail if you are at high angles, you have essentially the same issue (albeit at significantly reduced RPM). I'm not trying to be a jerk, but just something to check out and maybe plan for. For the track I ALWAYS ran 1QT overfill for this reason (this is a very common well known LS1 "feature", at least with the vette oil pan)

I've got a set of full width dana 60's sitting in the corner, they just need to be cut down, but for now the stockers will do, not planning on launching it. But it will for sure be a issue down the road. It has the 98 camaro oil pan so I'll have to check into it more but, if it's a problem I have plenty of room to fit pretty much any LS style pan in its place.

are you only using one bank of cylinders to run the turbo? seems like that might cause problems ( i know nothing about forced induction)
