Loud Pop on a dirt road

Well I was driving on a dirt road today and I hit a very very bumpy portion of the road. It was to the point were I lost all steering. While I was getting thrashed around pretty good I heard a very loud pop from the driver side front end. I stopped and looked at everything that it could of been but everything looked normal. Just wondering what that might have been since I've never heard that before, even while wheelin' Not sure if it was the bumpstop smacking or the shock bottoming out. What do you guys think.

That could be a possibility. Not sure, All I know is that it was really loud.

I guess Ill go thru the front suspension and make sure everything is sound as a pound. Not much else to do I guess. Odd though.
