Lots of grill guard questions

I am thinking about getting a grill guard for my 2K TJ, especially with all the deer around here. Lots of questions though?

First will the ones that bolt on to a stock bumber do a good job of protecting like I hope or simply lessen the damnage?

Does the Kentrol guard come in black?

Can I keep my stock fogs lights mounted where they are or at all? Will they require a retro-fit?

I like the Kentrol one beacuse it covers the front of the fender/turn signal also. I also am considering the extreme front bumber with brush guard that wraps around the fender but this would require a refit of my fogs some way?

Any opinions or thoughts?
