Dont mean to hijack but go in to the jeep gallery and look at the jeep gallery (Link Below) and look at the CJ-7 Pic. Tell me that is not an 8/scrambler... how could they get it wrong....

Very nice. Just waiting for the black flare Rubi's to hit the dealers. I notice in the jeep builder they have the black or grey top option and it changes the color of the flares.

I didn't so much mind the grey, but they left all the other stuff black and it looked out of place. The bumpers, mirrors, sidesteps, etc. all were black and it looked goofy. Had they done ALL the black plastic in grey, I think the effect would have been aesthetically pleasing. But that's my 3 cents.

Definitely a cj8

Maybe I'm imagining things but the top "CJ7" looks to me like its door area is shaped like the S body type of a CJ5 or 6, not the U that a 7 or 8 would have...

What color is your 05? I think the grey looks good with some colors. You can always paint your fender flares if you wanted. I don't think they're gonna listen to your complaints beause it's not like you ordered black flares/top and was delivered grey...

I don't think there is any color to have than silver if you're gonna have the grey flares. Just pretend you have an AEV or Sahara

Anyone seen a 05 with black flares and tops yet? I emailed a local dealer and they said that they heard nothing of them switching from gray to black. I searched on autotrader and couldn't find a single one in the US with black flares. I am a bit worried.

Stupid noob question time:
what came with the 04 unlimited? i have a black top, and it looks to me that the flares are black too, and i cant tell a diff between new ones and mine.

Black on Blue matches my computer case, xbox case, and part of my website color scheme (I love how blue and black look together)
