Looking for some help in the purchase of a 3" Economy lift
my dad finally decided to work with me on my needs, right now i have a stock jeep.
need new tires so my dad and i agreed on getting some 33's, but im looking into learning some new things, for instance putting my own lift in i have all the tools at my house. just need to be steered in the correct direction for a 3" economy lift and possibly adding a 2"-3" body lift let alone if its even possible to have them both on the jeep at the same time. any help is appreciated.

Don't go over a 1" BL. A 3" suspension lift and a 1" BL is more than enough for 33s.

Do a 2" BB and 1" BL.This is why most people don't do bigger BL's.Large gaps are frowned upon on Jeeps and women.![]() |

X2 above about the BL. I have an OME 2 1/2" with JKS 1 1/4" BL, but it us a little bit pricey. Lot's of people on here have used the RC 2 1/2" lift and like it a lot, at a lower price. Combine with a 1" BL and you're good to go for 33's.

yeah one inch body lift is good enough. what is your budget for this project? that will determine a lot of what you can do.

That's a 2" or 3" BL in that pic. It's not just ugly, it also throws off handling and stability and puts a lot of stress on the tub and frame due to the leverage. It'll feel even more top-heavy than it already does when lifted.

Maxwell, I've got a 1" BL new in the box I'm planning on installing soon, probably Monday. It's from Performance Accessories, and after research and advice including endorsements from long-established veterans here, I bought it from Amazon for ~$81 (2-day free shipping for me with my Prime account). JKS sells a 1.25" BL that gets good reviews, too, but it's more pricey at ~$125. Do not go higher than 1.25" on your BL, and you'll be fine.
The suspension lift will get you more articulation and more clearance, while the BL will lift your fenders (by lifting the whole tub), which will give you a little more wheel well clearance as well. It also gives you the room to do install a Motor Mount Lift (MML), high-clearance gas tank skid, and maybe a Tummy Tuck (TT) eventually. |
