Looking at another Jeep

Well I went on craigslist the other day looking for Jeep parts and happend to find a Citron green peal coat Jeep.

Here is what I know about it....

It grinds 4th gear and cant down shift into 2nd

Has:

35 inch mickey thompsons
6 inch long arm lift
SYE
rhino lined inside
warn front and back bumpers
full size spare with swing away
quick disconnect sway bar
throttle body spacer
k and n air filter
magnaflow exhaust
rock sliders
best top soft top
brand new clutch, slave cylinder and master cylinder
4:88 gears front and rear

I am wondering if it will be worth it.... I would like to fix the transmition that way 2nd and 4th gear could possibly be used....

It has 172k Miles on it and still waiting to hear what kind of engine it has.
Asking price is around 3K

What do you think?? How can I fix the tranny problem
