Lockers?

Hey guys and gals as I sit here waiting for my Rubi to be delivered I started to pounder about when I should use the lockers? Are they something I should use to unstick myself or before I attemt a difficult obtsticle? Basically what I'm looking for is the does and don'ts of lockers. Thanks

Obvioulsy the only time you would use the lockers on your Rubi is when you are in 4 lo. Personally I would only use 4 lo if I was stuck or thought that I would be without 4 lo. I also think depending on the obstacle. IE deep mud I would engage the locker to prevent getting stuck...hth...

Lockers are engaged when the terrain is so tough that you can't get over it without them. Most terrain most wheelers drive in can be navigated without lockers so don't be too quick to engage them. I'd try to learn how to get the most out of your new Rubicon by seeing how much you can do without lockers. That will teach you good driver technique such as what line (path) to take up or over obstacles. Then you'll appreciate what lockers can do once you see what they do for you in situations you couldn't get through without them.
