My buddy had 3.07s and 33s for years and it didn't bother us too much. It will bog you down but you learn to live with it. I have 3.55s and love my 33s. I barely noticed the difference. LSD doesn't sux and it is a whole lot cheaper than a super 35. if you are goind to spend more than 2 grand on a dana 35 you might as well buy an open diff 44 and save up for the locker later. I will keep my 35c but once it breaks its gone. I have been thinking about buying an empty housing for a 44 or 8.8 and doing my own locker and gear install. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/ex...hafts-1234745/

To be honest man. I got the rockers first. If I could do it again I would do the front auto locker then the rockers. Then flatten the tummy, then axles/regear

Have you ever had a lunchbox locker in a rear axle?

How many D44's came with 3.07 gears?

I wheel probably about every two weeks or so sometimes more sometimes less, and my Jeep's not my DD unless its nice and sunny.

I had the 3.07's and 33's didn't think it was all that bad until i regeared, talk to Chase at ECGS tell him what you want and they are very reasonable. But if you are in the mountains of Tennessee you will probably hate it.

It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool.
Nothing like a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling. I have a few.
4.0 auto, 8.8 rear with detroit locker, 4.10's and 33x 12.50's

Hmm, that makes a stronger case for armor or a locker then.

Tough call.

I had 33s and 3.07 gears for a couple months. I absolutely hated it. Took it to the dunes with that setup and it struggled on the slightest inclines.

It seems that some struggle with 3.07s more than others. U don't want to run them forever but it won't hurt for a year or two. For many it's a year or two of good seat time. Understand what u have before u go mess with it. This will help u save money and pick a build direction.

Again! You can auto lock the front, LSD the rear and regear for about 1200. It will take that much to just pay for regear to open diffs if you pay a shop.

of corurse some struggle with 3.07's more than other's, my driveway would look like mt. everset in floridia

i cant' stand my 31's and 3.07's i already had to kiss my fith gear goodbye with 31's let alone 33's

K&N pannel filter, got that far before i ran out of money
