light issues with my 03 Rubicon???

I have an 03 Rubicon that I just recently purchased and I have a few questions. When turning on the headlights the first click is running lights, ac control lights, aux switch lights and radio, most interior lights. The second click is everything mentioned before and the headlights. So heres the deal if I turn straight to headlights there is about a 4-5sec + delay (sometimes longer) before the interior dash lights come on. If I go to the first click all interior stuff lights up and stays on then take the switch to headlights and the interior lights stay on. If I go straight to headligts the other lights take awhile to come on or I cycle the switch to get them on. Is there supposed to be this delay. If not any ideas on the problem and fix?

I wouldn't worry about it myself, but it's probably just the headlight switch (if anything).

The delay is not normal and may indicate a defective headlight switch. I personally believe in fixing such problems before they totally fail, since the lack of headlights would render the Jeep undriveable at night.

Multi-function switches going bad is a common problem. Approx. $50-75 and IIRC 4 screws and 15 minutes to fix.

So the consensus is busted multi function light switch, is there any way to verify this other than just replacing parts and hoping the problem goes away?

I'd go that route. You're due for one anyway.
