Why do you want to lift your jeep? What is your automotive experience and backround? Do you have goals? Are their certain activities you would like to partake in?
Let me explain my story a little. I bought my Jeep 3 years ago, I never really thought about lifting it and doing anything crazy with it because at the time my mind was focused elsewhere. A year ago I got a spacer lift for my birthday, it came with only the spacers nothing else. So I thought well I might as well buy shocks and bump stops and lift my jeep. When I did it ignited a fire under my kiester to start off roading. The more time I spent tooling around the more I realized I needed more. So as it stands now I am piecing together my own lift utilizing parts that come highly recomended and that are of my own choosing.
My goal: To be able to attend the crawl for the cure benifit at Rausch Creek this summer.
You can see my parts list in my profile.
My advise would be to take advantage of the Rough Country 2 1/2 lift. Getting a good feel for how a lifted Jeep rides and go from there. You may end up doing exactly what I am or you may choose to purchase a kit for more extreme things.
