let’s have some fun here, how would you spend my money?

Ok guys and gals, here is the question I am hopefully tackling in the very near future (I think I have finally sold my Mustang which will be the source of funds). I am going to have about 8 (we’ll say 7 to 9k) grand to spend on a Wrangler and I am trying to decide what I should aim for. The way I look at it, I could get something a little newer (though obviously not particularly new) with lower miles mostly stock, I could get something in the 97/98 range with similar mods to what I would want to make, or something in that age range mostly stock and have a few bucks to add some mods of my choice… now I have to decide what to look for and what approach to go for…

Things I know
It has to be an auto
I want to eventually have a 3-5 inch lift with 33’s (not planning 35s), winch, armor, bumpers, rails, lockers, and of course the always popular D44 or Super 35 or other upgrade and appropriate gears
The vehicle won’t be a full time DD but rather a 50% time DD.
Jeep will see mild to moderate trails a few times a year.
Jeep will regularly see time on the beach.
Drive to work is only 15 miles and almost all highways.
I won’t have more money to spend on it (beyond the above mentioned) for a year or so and I don’t have the tools/setup to do extensive work on it myself right now.
My old rig was a 98 XJ with a budget lift and 32’s.

So Jeepers, let’s have some fun here, how would you spend my money?

Be sure to look for 3.73 gears (vs 3.07), that will save you from needing a $1200 regear or being a sloth in the mean time. Though, with 33s and an auto 4.10s I think is the preffered gearing.

Edit: BTW the D44s have 3.73s in all Jeeps except the Rubi.
