Left to right rear axle play normal?

I have a automatic 97 TJ with 138K miles. I had the car up on a lift when replacing shocks. I moved the rear wheel back and forth from driver side to passenger side, pushing and pulling as if your were taking the wheel off. I noticed a little play as I was pushing and pulling the wheel. Probably less then .025" in and out. The car runs fine, no noises or leaks of any kind. Is this normal?

Yes, that is just the axle hitting the cross pin when pushing the axle in and hitting the c-clip when pulling out the axle.
