largest tire size?

what is the largest tire size (that is fully functional) that can fit on my stock (premium wheel package) rims? they came with 30 x 9.5's on them and i have about 52k on them so far. i had planned on running them bald but toady i ran into a little snag a quarter inch thick piece of metal shapped like a dorrito of approxamatly the same size. needless to say i am now down one tire and considering upgradding tires only i would consider a lift or acos system so they can fit. what have you guys done out there? thanks for the help in advance oh yea it's a 05 unlimited with the upgradded wheel and tire package stock. thanks for any help. and let the heckling begin.

If you want to UPGRADE... get a Budget Boost and a Body lift and you can fit 33's. 31's will fit stock. I think unlimiteds look amazing with 33's+.

your not going to be able to fit a very wide 33 on the stock rim, its only 7" wide. you can fit pizza cutter 33x10.5

but the biggest tire you can run is a 31" on stock suspension setup, even with them you will get some rubbing when the wheel is turned all the way, but its a easy fix, just need some washers

ACOS will do fine for a 33 or 32 tire... i think theyre like 3.25" total height, so a 33 will fit, but you might loose some functionablilty/flex.

Tire wise i put a 305/70R16 on a 6.5" wheel on my K2500, the main thing you will have problems with is BS... You can buy some after market wheels for cheep if that's an option, or just buy some wheel spacers.

Without lifting your Jeep, 31x10.50 is the largest tire size that will fit without excessive rub. You can use your stock wheels with that tire size.

Seen people do 32's but it's pretty non-functional unless you trim a bunch.

Listen to Jerry B. -- 31's are what you probably want.

you can fit them... but it would be really tight and def. not recomended. if you really want the 33's then do a BB and a BL.

Yep, 31X10.5 is the largest stock.

I just put the 31 x 10.50 BFG AT/KOs on my stocker. There's plenty of heighth clearance for normal driving. It's not the tall that gets you; it's the wide. I had stock 15 x 8 wheels and my tires don't rub at full turn but there's less than 1/4" clearance to the "frame". If I drop the air pressure, it may be an issue. Even at that, I can correct it with 20 cents worth of washers.

yes, BL is body lift

BB is Budget Boost.

most common around here is the RE (rubicon express), it includes 2" coil spacers and shocks. and rear bumpstop extensions. All for about $225
