They should be operated by the same key. If they do not, you either have a bad copy or some of your components have been rekeyed.
One way to tell would be to go to a Jeep dealer and give them the lock code on the tumbler within the lock in your door. They should be able to get a set of genuine Jeep keys. |

The dealer can cut you a new key right off your Vin#. I would highly suggest that. That key should work your air bag deal. Sounds like somone may have had the jeep re-keyed after a theft or something like that and just forgot to have the airbag deal done at the same time.
