It's not worth it, especially since it doesn't help performance. I ran a K&N before finding out what a crappy air filter they are and it made zero performance difference on the road that I could detect. Don't waste your money. Some vehicles benefit by running an aftermarket air intake because the factory installed a restrictive air intake on purpose. The Mustang 5.0L and Camaro Z-28 are two good examples. The TJ's factory air intake was designed specifically to be very free flowing so contrary to butt-dynos (or the way too common placebo-effect), all these K&Ns and aftermarket air intakes do is make the air flow more efficient at sucking the $$$ out of your wallet.

I need to run out and buy my Pringles so I can try that mod. Actually even that cheap of a mod it still is not worth the time or money.

LOL that's great. I stuck a specter cone filter in the end of the hose, that would have gone to the OE box, for a little while. LMOA, back to stock now, with a K&N .
After reading this thread, I'm buying a MOPAR OE filter.

Regearing has nothing to do with your transmission. Its also not hard. Time consuming? Yes. But, not hard.

You could always grab junkyard axles from a 4 cylinder with 4.10s and swap them in. Which is REALLY easy.

If he didn't know where they are, I don't think he is ready just yet lol.
Hell I've done all kinds of stuff, from a LB locker to an 8.8, and still a little scared to to take on a re-gear. Also haven't read up on the ordeal.
Fortunately 4.10 serves me well

Look it up and go for it!

I remember when I was afraid to change the spark plugs in my old truck and didn't know anything about working on a vehicle. If I let my fear take over and didn't try it, where would I be now? I'd have a stock jeep because I paid someone to maintain it. With the internet and proper tools, you can fix or modify anything. Just gotta have the guts to try it. Can't wait to get a welder.

Do I know how to weld? No. But, I'm gonna figure it out. Then I'll have the ability to make something that's not like everyone elses.

Too many people on this forum discourage people from trying something like a regear, which is extremely straightforward.

OP, don't go try this, screw it up and blame me
