No, it isn't worth it.
The K&N filters don't filter as much dust as do a paper filter. This is especially important in a dry dusty area. Also, as I understand things, the stock filter flows more air than the engine can use, anyhow, so you won't gain any performance or fuel mileage benefit. I had a K&N filter on an old CJ. Having to oil it was really was a nuisance. I'd rather buy a new filter and be done with it.

It is a waste of money. Spend your parents hard earned money on other stuff, like beer and women.

If you can buy one and resell it for a profit, go for it. It's not going to do anything for your vehicle except make it slightly noisier.

The only reason that I have a FIPK is that my wife bought it for me for a b-day present. Its not something that I would have gotten on my own.
But I do think it looks better than stock. ![]()

Yeah, save your money. If you combine CAIs, chip, and other performance parts together, you're bound to get some gains but definetely not worth the money. You're in LV where Im guessing it's pretty dusty. K&NFIPK has a crappier filteration rate than the stock ones, so unless you're okay with more dust getting into your motor, I wouldn't do it.
What people do for performance gains is regear. |

Not only is the K&N FIPK (or TB spacer) not worth it, realize too that a K&N filter is probably the worst at filtration you could possibly choose. Tests show just how bad at filtration it is. In one ISO test, a K&N air filter passed 18X the amount of dirt an AC-Delco paper air filter did.

Agree 100% get a better gear raito in the axles, you will notice much more than installing bolt on stuff.
