Jeep Transfer Case Removal

Hi, my transfer case on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Blew Up. Question is, can I remove my transfer case and be able to drive RWD only until I get a new transfer case to replace this one?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Usually happens when the front cardan joint seizes up.
