Is Jeep Selling Rubicon Dana 44's?

I had heard a while back that Jeep was going to start selling a D44 that will bolt directly up to a TJ with choice of gearing and a locker. It was further rumored that this could be bought for about $1500. Does anyone know if this is now available and would you choose this option to upgrade a stock D35?

There are a few threads on this in the search section. I know it is going to be available but the JK version is $1500. The TJ version is going to be much more due to the specialized task of changing the control arm mounts. Its alot cheaper when they are mass produced and it doesn't look like the TJ axles will be.

Oh ya, I also forgot to mention these. A good option if you have to money because they are built to your specs. Solid, G2, and Dynatrac make them.
