Jeep Lightbar (Oman???)

Are there any lightbars comparable to the mopar lightbar? Got a 05 Unlimited and really like the look of the mopar light bar but not the price tag!!!

Warrior Products has a light bar, I'm sure it's alot less than the Mopar item.

Or you can find a fabricator by you and have them bend up some 1" steel tubing, weld on some tabs and powdercoat it for you for half that price.

I think you can easily remove the light bar for the garage, just sit it and the lights on a blanket on the hood and drive in.

think I would rather go for the windshield mounted just so I didn't have to bother with disassembly to enter the garage =D

two snapper pins and they just lower down....keep some slack in the light wires and you're golden. Just in case you wanted to go with both(as I have planned). Use the lower windshield mounts instead of the upper mounts, give yourself a choice down the road.

thanks for the ideas!!! Will look into this! It is prolly a smaller investment to do windshield mounted first, so I will prolly go that round initially and mayhaps upgrade later!

If your garage is the limiting factor, get HID's in the grill and then look at wind-shield mounted lights.

Check the links, let me know if you have any questions. They're slightly cheaper from www.brightheadlights-hid.com

They're 500 and change for HID's from that site, is that for a pair or each? I'd rather to with 2-4 lights on the bumper and 2 on the windshield mounts and get the same amount of light for much less money.

it would be cheaper, but you would miss out on that distinctive look for the front of your jeep, Is it cold in Oman?

Yes that's for the pair at brightheadlights-hid...

And I have 4 KC's on the roof and it is nowhere near the light output. HID is not cheap but you get what you're paying for.

actually the price I was looking at was for a single lamp, and I found a kit for the Wrangler for 1157.09. There's a scond kit on the site for 700 bucks too. Still a bit much for what I need right now. I'll go this winter with stock lights and see if I need a longer projection light or not.

Ah, you were looking at the wrong ones... The Xe7's are 698 on there, they have another one which is much more expensive, I haven't seen much on those and don't know if they're any better. Until they make one that swivels with the steering like the new Mercs have, I'm more than happy with the Xe7's.

Do you mean these?

I like their look better, but it appears their high beam is only Xenon. Besides that, they're not even available yet. Because of that, I may find myself being added to the boobie light club. I'd love to see that stats on the light that they are releasing, but I think it will be hard to beat a projector lamp.
