Leave everything off and in the sun for a day.. with a fan blowing. Re-assemble and you should be ok.

Yeah as long as you don't let any power go through those wet electrical components before they're completely dry you should be ok. My CB's gotten rained on a couple times--I always just unplug it and let it dry out for 2 or 3 days.

i don't listen to the weather anymore. i hate that sentence "we have a chance for rain today". well, no ****. we have a chance for rain anyday i suppose.

i always put the top up now. i never run windows, but always have the top up when i'm parked for longer than 1 hour. in colorado, one minute it's raining, the next it's dry and sunny, the next there's hail.

Soaked in rain

We had an unexpected downpour yesterday while i'm in school...and of course i have taken my top off. I had 4 inches of rain in the floorboard. I wet-vac the whole thing and leave it out to air dry. Today the seats already smell like mildew and the stereo (removable faceplate) won't turn OFF, and yet it's still not working.

Any ideas how to get the stench out and the stereo going?

Umm to the seats yea they just need to fully dry. I had the same thing happen a few times lol. You can hit them with febreeze. I just leave mine the smell goes away after a few days of sun.

Pull your carpet because the water will stay trapped between that and the floor. Then just dry everything out as good as you can.

lol ! Man, sorry to bump a page two thread but I can totally related...

I was just in Yosemite National Park over the weekend and I swear to gawd, I had puddles of rain water in my Jeep (left her topless overnight and there was a light rain all night). I just left every thing electronic off for the 4 hour road trip home (an hour outside of the park it was sunny and HOT), and everything's working as it should this week.
