Jeep does not like getting past 2300-2500 rpms

My 2.5 stutters and goes very slow trying to get past 2300-2500 rpms. After that it accelerates like normal (so extremely slowly) It does it more under heavy strain, but can be felt most times.

If I can get there I can wheel it!

It sounds like it may be a fueling problem. Have you looked at the plugs yet? This may help to see if its a calibration issue with all cylinders, or if one is worse than the others. Once you figure if its mechanical or electrical you can concentrate you efforts there. Might as well put some new plugs in while your at it. Keep track of what plug came out of what cylinder in case there is a difference in one of them.

I put new plugs in in February. I will look at the plugs again and see if there is a difference. I have tried a bunch of stuff and I am thinking cap rotor and wires are next

If I can get there I can wheel it!
