very cool, interesting how warm the tires are! Would be the perfect tool for cutting heat vents in the hood

Are you a firefighter? or how do you have access to a thermal imaging camera?

Obviously 'shopped! I can read "Rubicon"!

Ha ha, just trollin'. Very cool and informative. Interesting how it even picks up on the subtle heat difference of stickers!

I have the Thermal Imaging Camera at work. I design machines that need to control heat.

I just drove to work and then took some pictures.

The difference in temperature of the Rubicon sticker could also be due to the different emissivity between a painted surface and the flat mat surface of the sticker. In otherwords, they may be the same temperature, but giving off different amounts of IR.

I would like to see the actual temperature of the tires. Judging by the graph on the side, it looks like around 110* If you know it, what was outside ambient temp?

I live in Ramona, but work in Mira Mesa. Its about a 25 mile commute.

andy02- the outside (or ambient) was 68 degrees. It is shown at the lower left of the pictures.

The Jeep is at ORW right now trying to figure out my rear differential/dive-line clunk. But when I get it back I'll take some more pictures of the tires, and make note of the pressure.

Shoot the exhaust manifold, intake tube near the TB and thermo housing while the jeep is warmed up and at temp.

Many discussions on Engine temp.
