IPF 968's... factory wiring or kit supplied wiring?

I'm a wiring NOOB and a half... and ready to replace my existing stock fogs with these IPF 968's:

I'm just wondering if I can unplug my wiring from my stockers and simply plug it into the 968's? IS this doable or do I have to use the wiring supplied in the kit??? They are both 55W.

You could probably get away with it, but........Look at the size of the wires, are the ones from the IPF's bigger? If so, its likely they will be a better option than the factory.

These are a very good quality set of lights, I would recomend you install the entire kit, as the MFG intended. Its not that hard and its a good time to learn. Leave your self plenty of time, roll up them sleaves and have at it!!

Good Luck,
CW

mmm yeah you're right, I should set it up as the manufacturer intended. The tricky part is this... I want to set them up so that they work exactly as my stockers do now. I want to use my factory switch that's on the light stalk, not the kit supplied button switch. That way I don't have an extra switch on my dash that I don't need. I wonder how difficult that will be

Not a big deal. You should be able to do that.
Hopefully someone will pipe in and tell you what wire does what. (I dont have factory lights)
It should be a three wire plug, in out and ground. Remove the factory wire plug and using crimp connectors, wire in the new wires. All the switch does is break the connection. Do a little trace for yourself, follow the wires as far as you can to see where they go. Most likely one goes to ground somewhere close to the switch. Make up a replacement wire that will do the same. Then use the other two inplace of where the MFG's supplied diagrams show.

plug up the IPF relay as stated in the directions. Just hook the trigger wire(yellow) to the output signal wire for the factory fog lights.
