Intake manifold debris shield recall

so i guess awhile back jeep had a recal on 99-02 wranglers (4.0L) and cherokees...
i ran my vin on their recall webpage and sure enough.. i don't have it.
it says there needs to be some sort of shield on the intake manifold otherwise vehicle fires can occur...
is this something i really need to drive a half hour to the jeep dealership and back for? I know fire is a big deal and im concerned about it... but is this recall a big deal or can i just ignore it?

I didn't. I simply don't allow anything to build up under my hood that could catch fire.

It's a piece of aluminum foil. I honestly think it makes it easier for crap to get in there with it than without it.

Can you post the website link to check recalls by VIN? My '02 has been back for only two recalls a few years back, and I'm thinking there's probably more that I might have missed.

Thanks!

Ken
