Installing Extended Front Brake Lines (20")

Alright, this weekend I will be installing my Rubicon Express Extended Front Brake Lines (20") and changing out the rear disc brake pads. Does anyone know how much fresh brake fluid I'll need for this project? Also, what brake fluid is everyone using? Thanks .

Just go buy a new bottle, I think the smallest bottle is 8oz and it is DOT 3 brake fluid.

Sorry to steal but,

How much of a lift do you have that 20" brake lines would work?

I did my RE 3.5" and have no probs as a DD, im a lilttle concerned about them off road tho, when flexing

Also I've seen DOT 4 brake fluid, what's that all about?

I have a 2 inch BB and if i REALLY over flex it I stretch the stock brake lines. BUT I say anything over 3 inches, you should be looking at some new extended lines. I got braided steel extended lines right next to me now, going on with the 4 inch lift in a week or so

What size lines are they for both front and rear?

I started with an RE 3.5" Standard Kit and I'm basically building it up to the RE 3.5" SF.

I went with the RE 1553 since those are included with the RE 3.5":

I have Nth Rear Adjustable Uppers that I need with the CV/SYE setup. I'll be going with the RE Front Adjustable Uppers and RE Fixed Lowers as my next additions .

Yep, they were cheaper . In the future I may switch them out for RE's but for now they're doing the job.

DOT4 has a higher boiling point...I've run it in my Moutain Bikes and Motorcyles (and 5.1), but for the jeep, good ol DOT3 will work just fine.

I reused the copper washers cuz the idots at the kragen had no idea what I was talking about...I even went back and got them for them and they STILL had not idea what or where to get them...I know they had them...Regardless, it was late and I ran the old ones and still have plenty of hard stops and miles on them with no leaks. I still would reccomend getting them...but I was able to safely do without.

Can you elaborate on this? A necessary item not included with the lines? Can they be picked up at a local hardware/auto parts store?
