I went swimming inside my jeep.....

Ok well not exactly I didn't flood or fill the tub but i saw a huge mud pit that was like a small pond and decided to blow through it with my top off (luckily i just put the doors on to keep some of the water out) so i blast through it and by the time i get to the otherside i realize that im soaking wet and waters dripping from everywhere... OH sh*T that was great came out of my mouth my buddies were dying and when they asked me If it was worth it "Hell yea!!!!, but ill think ill avoid it until my top is back on... Now that its the next day I find the whole interior including the "trunk" has water/mud...cd visor is brown and some how even my dash and head unit have the remains of the incident...(btw i wiped as much as i could down with a towel after it happened) All the cracks in my seat have dirt deposits also.......QUESTION- is simple green ok for my seats, is it harsh for regular use?? btw I want a snorkle! I only went through the edge of this pit and i can only imagine how deep the middle is

God bless any of you who wheel with your tops off!

P.S. im going back today after work, and i took pics yesterday but it was dark so ill see how they come out and post if good...

water

Well I would say "join the club," but when you joined the forum you did join a group of 100's who have done this before. Not sure about the green stuff on the seats though, never used it. Good ole soap and water worked for me with a scrub brush. Then let it air dry in the sun. If you still have carpeting, better get that stuff out and air dry before mold grows. that sucks when that happens. i took out all the carpeting and went with rubber. now i just hose the stuff off when i want to get dirty

Simple Green makes a carpet/upholstery cleaner, but the usual stuff would probably be fine if you dilute it a bit.

On a related note, I recently saw a roadside auto-detailing operation where they were pressure cleaning car seats (removed from the car first of course...) It doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but wtf.

You might want to invest in some of the neoprene seat covers that dry FAST. I Love Mine

I'd rather use some good quality vinyl seat covers like Bestop's that don't need to dry, neither will they soak up muddy water and stain.
